From the Founder
"After 15 years working across fashion, homewares and beauty in product sourcing and development, I found myself questioning the waste generated by low-quality, highly synthetic products destined for landfill at the end of their short life span. After becoming a mum, these concerns progressed into an increasing awareness of how little I knew about all of the ingredients on the back of the products I used around the home. Especially lurking behind the broad banner of ‘fragrance’. Were all of these ingredients necessary? Or were they just filler to bulk out a product and make it cheaper? And were they safe for our bodies? I was looking for solutions that combined the powerful properties of plants with the latest in innovative, clean, active ingredients that addressed my skin concerns naturally. Skincare products that combined the power of plants and science together to protect and nourish our skin. And so pureco was born. Pureco is more than just a brand, it's an ongoing journey of exploration. A place to bring together powerful plants, modern actives and thoughtful formulation, without the unnecessary extras."

We don't formulate with ingredients simply because they're familiar, fashionable or inexpensive.

We look for ingredients that do something — from organically grown botanical infusions and plant extracts to meaningful concentrations of active ingredients with a role to play in the formula. If you're a 'filler' ingredient there for no reason, you're out.
